Luneville Embroidery with Ksenia Semirova Fall 2025
Description
This workshop introduces you to the basics of Luneville embroidery. And yes - be prepared to work on the reverse side of the fabric! That means stitching beads and sequins without watching every stitch, instead feeling your way with your fingers. We’ll begin with the essentials: how to use the embroidery hook, set up your frame, and understand the materials. But most of the session will be hands-on. You’ll start with simple exercises - lines, circles, and squares. They may not sound exciting, but they’re essential for building your foundational skills. The most exciting part is the final lettering composition you’ll complete. It can be used as an embellishment or kept as a standalone piece - a reminder of your first steps into Luneville embroidery
