Soft Sculpture with Natalie Baxter Fall 2025

In this hands-on workshop, we’ll explore the world of soft sculpture using fabric and stuffing to bring dimensional forms to life. Starting with sketching ideas on paper, participants will develop a plan to scale up their designs and translate them into fabric creations using hand and machine sewing. We’ll draw inspiration from artists Claes Oldenburg and Coosje van Bruggen—famous for their playful, oversized renditions of everyday objects—though participants are also welcome to explore abstract forms. This workshop is beginner-friendly and open to all skill levels.

All sessions will be held via Zoom Meetings and Saturday sessions will recorded. Video recordings will be available within 24 hours of each session and are accessible to participants for one year.
